Crazes

A craze is something that people have got to have! It is madness to be involved and is not always needed or liked. They last a really short time and are usually regretted by the people who followed them. There are many different varieties of crazes including clothes, accessories, games and food. The image above showcases the latest craze called loom bands. They are extremely popular with children and some teenagers and adults have also grown to like them. They are bracelets that you make using small rubber bands and are available in all different colours and patterns.

They are similar to Scoubidou, also known as 'scoobies', which is a knotting craft used to make bracelets, key rings, jewellery, pen covers and lots of different shapes. They were a craze in 2004 and have now been replaced by loom bands. These were also available in many different colours and they had a range of glitter bands that were very popular.
